Built by someone who lived the problem.

CaptureVantage exists because the tools didn't — and the spreadsheets were failing us.

I spent years delivering federal contracts — managing programs for agencies including USCIS, and working across the DC metro corridor where federal contracting is the lifeblood of hundreds of small businesses trying to compete against firms ten times their size.

What I saw repeatedly was this: companies losing not because they couldn't do the work, but because they were chasing the wrong opportunities. They'd spend $60,000 writing a proposal for a contract the incumbent was never going to lose, or bid on a set-aside their certifications didn't qualify them for, or price below cost because they didn't know what market rates looked like.

The tools that existed were built for large primes — $30,000 a year minimum, requiring a dedicated administrator, with interfaces that looked like they were designed in 2008. The small and mid-size firms that make up the backbone of the federal contracting ecosystem were running their entire capture operation on spreadsheets and SAM.gov bookmarks.

I built CaptureVantage to change that. The eligibility gates came first — because the most expensive mistake in this business is writing a proposal for something you were never legally allowed to win. The scoring came second — because not all eligible opportunities are worth pursuing. The incumbent intelligence came third — because positioning starts 18 months before the RFP drops, not the day it posts.

Every feature in CaptureVantage exists because I either lived the pain myself or heard it from a BD director who was tired of guessing.

GovTech Builder

Founded CaptureVantage to bring modern software practices to a market that has been chronically underserved by legacy tools. Built with Next.js, MongoDB Atlas, and AWS.

Our mission

To give every qualified small business the intelligence advantage they need to compete — and win — on merit.

Federal contracting should reward capability, past performance, and competitive pricing. Not who has the biggest BD budget or the most expensive pipeline tool. CaptureVantage levels the playing field.

Deterministic over probabilistic

We check legal eligibility with binary gates, not fuzzy scores. If you can't bid it, we say so clearly.

Transparent over opaque

Every score comes with a full explanation. No black boxes. Your team understands why an opportunity scored what it scored.

Small business first

We price for the market we serve. No per-seat fees, no enterprise minimums for features that every firm needs.
